Unknown Publication, April 1970 Dora Sterling Machon, age 57, died April 9 at his home near Dixon, MO. Mr. Machon was born May 25, 1912, near Van Cleve, the son of Charles and Susan Lawson Machon. He was married Aug. 13, 1938, to Velma Rowden, who survives. He was a farmer in the Miller County area most of his life where he also worked at Fort Leonard Wood and for REA at Dixon. Mr. Machon was a member of the Church of Christ of Iberia, Mo. Survivors are a son, Charles Arthur Machon, Dixon; a daughter, Mrs. Viola Bilyeu, Fairborn, Ohio; a half-sister, Mrs. Mary Kindworthy, Waynesville; a brother, George Machon, Dixon and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Stevinson Chapel, Iberia, with the Rev. Jack Duncan officiating. Burial was in the Bray's Cemetery, near Iberia under the direction of the Stevinson funeral Home of Iberia. Pallbearers were Delbert Machon, Carl Machon, Joe Shiverdeck, Orville Pendleton, Joe Rowden and Larry Jarrett.
