Unknown Publication, July 1970 One of the area's senior citizens, Mrs. Mary Olive Elizabeth Grosvenor, 93, of Brumley died Tuesday, July 21, 1970, at Charles E. Still Hospital, Jefferson City. She leaves four generations of descendants. Mrs. Grosvenor was born Aug. 21, 1876 in Maries County, the daughter of Harvey Knox and Mary Olive (Lawson) Palmer. She was married March 28, 1898 to William Jackson Grosvenor who died Aug 29, 1923. Mrs. Grosvenor was a member of the Smyrna Church of Christ. She had lived in the Brumley area most of her life, but spent a few years in Oklahoma. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Rosaltha Miller of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Laura Opal Hedrick of Fortuna, and Mrs. Mabel Luttrell of Brumley; 34 grandchildren; more than 50 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Smyrna church of Christ near Vienna with Bro. Arvil Elrod officiating; interment in the Lawson Cemetery under the direction of Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia.
