    3. Unknown Publication, December 1967 Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stevinson Funeral Chapel in Iberia for George M. Dake of Iberia. Mr. Dake, 73, died Friday, Dec 29, 1967, at the Pulaski County Memorial Hospital in Waynesville. He was born Aug 9, 1894, near Iberia, a son of Andrew and Jane (Humphrey) Dake. He was married in 1918 to Lucy Rowden who survives. Mr. Dake worked as an auto mechanic for Eads Motor Co. in Iberia. He also owned and operated his own garage for several years and engaged in farming. He was baptized and became a member of the Bray's Advent Christian Church after his marriage. In addition to his wife, Mr. Dake is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leota Griffin and Mrs. Imogene Jones of Waynesville; one son, George Dake, Jr., Kansas City; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joe and Jack Dake of Iberia and Larmon Dake of Dixon; and two sisters, Mrs. Susan Ahart of Iberia and Mrs. Fannie Thompson of Dixon. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Willard, Gordon and Manley Dake; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Wilson, and one daughter, Lucille Dake at the age of 6 years. The Rev. Mark Sooter officiated at the funeral services Sunday. Interment was in the Dake Cemetery near Iberia. Pallbearers were Boyd Sessions, Bill Prather, Okley Kinder, Orville Griffin and Jim Williams.
