Unknown Publication, July 1969 Walter Augustus Dickerson, 86, of St. Louis, formerly of Crocker, passed away Friday, July 18, 1969, at the Hill Haven Nursing Home in St. Louis. Mr. Dickerson was born Nov.12, 1982 near Iberia, the son of John E. and Rebecca Phillips Dickerson. He was married Oct. 2, 1909 in Iberia to Marcia Mae Gardner who preceded him in death Dec. 22, 1966. Mr. Dickerson was a member of the Crocker Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Iberia Congregational Christian Church. He had been a member of the Modern Woodmen and the Odd Fellows Lodge. Surviving are four daughters, Miss Sydney Dickerson of Ferguson, Mrs. Reba Muckler and Mrs. Lucille Hackett of St. Louis, and Mrs. Ellen Carlstrom of Crestwood; 10 grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Stevinson Chapel in Iberia with the Rev. Robert Bullard officiating. Interment was in the Iberia Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Dickerson, Patrick Hackett, Tom Hackett, Jerry Hackett, Ricky Carlstrom and Dewey Carlstrom.
