    3. Unknown Publication, March 1968 A former resident of the Iberia community, Otis L. Pendleton, 66, of 509 W. Main St., Jefferson City, died Tuesday morning, March 5, 1968, at the Charles E. Still Hospital, Jefferson City. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at the Stevinson Chapel in Iberia. Mr. Pendleton was born Jan. 20, 1902, in Miller County near Iberia. He was a son of Charles and Sarah (Stratton) Pendleton. On Oct. 30, 1925, he was married to Miss Hilda Bax who preceded him in death Feb. 21, 1960. Mr. Pendleton had been living in Jefferson City for three years. He previously lived in and around Iberia, Gerald, and St. Louis. He formerly was employed with Commonwealth Steel Foundry in Granite City, Ill. He engaged in farming during hiss residence in Miller County. Mr. Pendleton was a member of the Granite City Church of Christ. Surviving are two sons, Charles of Rte. 3, Dixon and James of St. Louis; four daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Lawson, St. Louis, Mrs. Ethelyne Amberger, Granite City, Ill., Mrs. Velma Jean Lobbert, Maplewood, and Mrs. Linda Morgan, St. Louis; 23 grandchildren; one brother, Luther of Dixon; and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Ambrose, Jefferson City, Mrs. Stella Hicks, Iberia, Mrs. Gladys Weiscoff, Gerald, and Mrs. Ollie Crane, Union. The Rev. Ray McClary, Rte. 3, Dixon, officiated at the funeral services. Burial was in Red Cemetery in Maries County. Pallbearers were Henry Twehaus, Louie Hendricks, Cliff Withers, John Rucker, Donny Bax, Delbert Bax and Raymond Bax.
