Fort Scott, KS Tribune, May 18, 1972 Mrs. Addie C. Colvin, 89 of..at 4 p.m. at Mercy Hospital where she had been a patient since May 13. She was born Oct. 28, 1882, at Ulman, MO., the daughter of George Shadwick and Columbia Curry Williams. She married Leander Colvin on Aug. 28, 1904, at Ulman. They farmed in that area until 1928 when they moved to the Fairmount community near Redfield. In 1957 they left the farm and moved to the present home in Fort Scott. Mr. Colvin died July 15, 1966. Surviving are five children, Glenn Colvin of Franklin, Kan., George Colvin of 915 E. Oak, Mrs. Inez Sanders of 1404 E. Wall, Mrs. John (Eileen) Jackson of Redfield, and John Lee Colvin of Riverton, Wyo.; a brother Roy Williams of Ulman. There are 24 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Cheney's Memorial Chapel with interment in Centerville Cemetery near Devon.
