Wilma The Miller County Autogram-Sentinel Tuscumbia, Missouri Thursday, November 7, 1985 Pg 3, Col 2 Gilbert Shelton Gilbert Shelton, 89, of Brumley died Monday Nov. 4, 1985 at the Osage Beach Health Care Center. He was born Jan 30, 1896 at Brumley to John and Nancy Meredith Shelton. On Dec 16, 1927 he was marred at Tuscumbia to Ada Condra, who survives him at the home. Mr. Shelton was an army veteran of World War I. He was a farmer and merchant and had owned Brumley Mercantile from 1945 to 1960. He was a member of the Brumley Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son Glen Shelton of Brumley, two daughters, Anna Ruth McDonald of Florissant and Inah Lou Wilson of Iberia; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral Services were held at 10am Thursday at the Brumley Baptist Church with the Reb. Carles Caldwell officiating. Burial was in Gott Cemetery under the direction of Stevinson-Mossman Funeral
