Unknown Publication, July 1996 Leora Tanner Colvin, 71, Casper, Wyo., died at her home Sunday, July 28, 1996. She was born May 18, 1925, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Eddie and Florence Graham Tanner. She married John Lee Colvin on Oct 29, 1943, in Yates Center. He survives. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints and VFW Auxiliary in Riverton. She was secretary of State Farm Insurance in Riverton until her eyesight failed. She was a long time resident of Riverton. She was secretary of the Women's Bowling Association for many years. She received many trophies and awards for her participation in local, state and national tournaments. Mrs. Colvin wrote poetry and was published in the Anthology. Pastimes were fishing, hiking and camping. She lived in Independence, Mo., until age 16, when her father died. She then lived in Devon. She graduated in Fulton in 1943. Survivors include her husband John Lee of Casper; her mother and stepfather, Florence and Walter Nelson, Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Connie Colvin and Sandra Porter, both of Casper; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Bishop George Connor of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints will conduct services at 10 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Chapel at Casper, with burial in Highland Cemetery.
