Does anyone have more information on his wife Mae? Was her maiden name Johnson or was she married previously? Unknown Publication, July 1968 Miller County treasurer, Dorsey C. Grosvenor, 55, died suddenly about 8:20 p.m. Monday, July 16, 1968, at his home in Iberia. The acting Miller County coroner, Wendell D. Hensley, attributed his death to a heart attack. Mr. Grosvenor was elected county treasurer in 1966, and was nearing the midway point of his first four-year term when he passed away. He was born in Miller County Dec. 2, 1912, a son of the late George R. and Delilah Ann (Palmer) Grosvenor, and was reared on a farm in the Iberia/St. Anthony communities. On June 6, 1950 he was married to Mrs. Mae Johnson Grosvenor who survives at the home in Iberia. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jean Barnett and Mrs. Marilyn Pendleton, Iberia; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Pendleton and Mrs. Florence Barnhart, Dixon; and five grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Grosvenor moved into Iberia into their new home in July 1967. He owned and operated the Iberia Printing Co. Mr. Grosvenor was a member of the Smyrna Church of Christ in Maries County where he had held membership since early in life. HE was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of American Legion Post 105, Iberia. He formerly was engaged in farming and employed by Uregas Co. for six years. He was preceded in death by his father in 1943; his mother in 1947; brothers John Harvey Grosvenor in 1897, Raymond Grosvenor in 1961, and Lester Grosvenor in 1966; and a sister, Mrs. Lillias Dixon in 1964. Funeral services for Mr. Grosvenor will be held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Smyrna Church of Christ in Maries County. Bro. Charles Pitts and Bro. Wayne Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in the Lawson Cemetery under the direction of Stevinson 'funeral Home of Iberia. Miller County officials will serve as pallbearers.
