    3. Unknown Publication, August 1968 One of the area's senior citizens, Mrs. Clara Ann Woody, 96, died Wednesday night, Aug 21, 1968, at the Miller County Nursing Home near Tuscumbia. She was born Dec. 25, 1871, near Camp Ground in Maries County, the daughter of Pope and Polly Ann (Shelton) Hale. On May 19, 1891, she was married in Maries County to Robert F. (Bob) Woody who preceded her in death. Mrs. Woody was baptized at Camp Ground Church under the Rev. Charley Sooter. She had been attending the Congregational Christian Church until ill health restricted her activities. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Ida Carroll of Snohomish, Wash., Mrs. Mae Livingston of Twin Falls, Idaho, Mrs. Lottie Hensley of Iberia, and Mrs. Myrtle Loftin of St. Louis; two sons, Louis Woody of St. Louis and Dolen Woody of Belle; and 25 grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Stevinson Chapel in Iberia with the Rev. Earl Brown officiating. Burial was in the Union Cemetery near Iberia. Pallbearers were Wendell Hensley, Dallas Hensley, Junior Hensley, Allen Wilkis, Jim Duncan, and Jim Strickland.
