    3. Unknown Publication, July 1971 Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Stevinson Chapel in Iberia for Mrs. Dorothy A. Newhart, a lifelong resident of the Iberia community. Mrs. Newhart, 69, died suddenly Wednesday morning, June 30, 1971, at Memorial Community Hospital, Jefferson City, where she had been a patient only a few hours. She was born Oct. 27, 1901 near Alder Springs in Miller County, the daughter of Robert Butler and Nellie (Rowland) Thompson. On April 21, 1918 she was married to Charles Ralph Newhart who survives, in a ceremony performed by Richard Atwell. Mrs. Newhart was a member of the United Church of Christ. She was baptized at Alder Springs. She formerly was a member of the Brays Advent Christian Church, becoming a member of the United Church of Christ April 26, 1962. In addition to her husband of the home, Mrs. Newhart is survived by three sons, Harold A. Newhart and Lowell E. Newhart of Iberia, and Charles T. Newhart of Springfield; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne Thompson and Dewey Thompson of Iberia; and two sisters, Mrs. Opal McDaniel and Mrs. Ollie Stewart of Mission, Kan. The Rev. Earl Brown will officiate at the services Friday afternoon. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
