The Gazette (Colorado Springs, CO), October 2009 Lucy Williams, age 91, a longtime resident of Colorado Sprigs, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the Medalion Health Care Center in Colorado Springs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a homemaker. Lucille Schulte was born on February 27, 1918 in Mary's Home, Missouri to Henry and Sophia (Holzer) Schulte. She grew up on a farm near Mary's Home. She married David C. Williams on February 14, 1942 in Brownswood, Texas. Lucy was an accomplished bridge player and a phenomenal quilter. She was a long time member of Divine Redeemer Parish. She is survived by her three daughters: Linda (husband Don) Strauch of Denver; Judy (husband Leland) Sharrock of San Antonio, Texas and Dorothy McEachron of San Antonio. She is also survived by her son, David (wife Susan) Williams of Newport News, Virginia; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David in 1994, her son-in-law Larry McEachron, five brothers and four sisters. A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Chapel. A Rosary will follow at 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1520 E. Yampa St., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. A reception will then follow the burial at the Divine Redeemer Parish Hall. Memorials in her name may be made to the Divine Redeemer Catholic Church or the charity of your choice. Blessed be her memory.
