Jefferson City News Tribune, November 1988 Charles Edison Kallenbach, 88, Eldon, died Wednesday at Memorial Community Hospital, Jefferson City. He was born July 22, 1900, at Tuscumbia, a son of John and Minnie Nixdorf Kallenbach. On Dec. 20, 1930, he was married at Jefferson City to Wilma R. Connell, who survives of the home. He was a member of the Saline Valley Church of Christ. He was a farmer, had worked for the MFA Exchange at Eldon for many years, and worked for the city of Eldon for about 10 years prior to his retirement. Other survivors include: a daughter, Hazel M. Frisby, Columbia; three sons, Charles Duaine Kallenbach, Warrenton, Brice. D. Kallenbach, Eldon , and Winfred P. Kallenbach, Russellville; two sisters, Ruth Kallenbach, Jefferson City, and Hazel Curty, Independence; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon, with Brother Murl Nash officiating. Burial will be in Tuscumbia Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today.
