Jefferson City Post Tribune, May 1983 Albert Edward "Bert" Hill, 84, Eldon, died Friday at Charles E. Still Hospital. He was born Jan 19, 1898, at Eldon, a son of Jesse Lafayette and Emma Lee Thompson Hill. On Feb. 22, 1923, he was married at Tuscumbia to Ila Mildred Tucker, who survives of the home. A member of the Saline Valley Church of Christ, he was a life-long resident of Miller County and a farmer. Other survivors include: four sons, Harold A. Hill, Robert A. Hill and Charles J. Hill, all of Eldon, and Davin E. Hill, Ft. Worth, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Sutherland, High Ridge, Mrs. Dorothy Crabtree, Eldon and Mrs. Barbara Austin, Dallas, Texas; a brother, John Hill, Tuscumbia; 33 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon, with Brother Murl Nash officiating. Burial will be in Tuscumbia Cemetery. Visitation will be noon-9 p.m. today.
