Nancy T The Miller County Autogram-Sentinel, Thursday, April 17, 2008 Glen "Bus" Cochran, 82, of Iberia, died Monday, April 14, 2008, at the Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center near Tuscumbia. He was born Sept. 24, 1925, to William Jasper and Eunice Moneymaker Cochran. Mr. Cochran was a cattle farmer most of his life and was a fox hunter. He was baptized at the Mt. Union Church of Christ near Brumley. Surviving are two sisters, Eula Mae Cochran of Iberia and Alice Mitchell and husband Warren of Brumley; two brothers and their wives, David and Birdeen Cochran of Brumley and Danny and Carol Cochran of Iberia; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Billy Claiborn officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Mt. Union Cemetery. Obituary: Miller County Autogram Sentinel, Thursday, October 5, 2006 Billy J. Cochran, 76, of Brumley died Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at his home. He was born February 5, 1930, in Miller County to William J. and Velma Eunice Moneymaker Cochran. On November 28, 1953, he was married in Hawkeye to Marie Evelyn Hedrick, who died Feb. 15, 1999. Mr. Cochran was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Surviving are three sons and a daughter-in-law, Steve Cochran and Rich Cochran, both of Brumley, and Dallas and Pamela Cochran of Oak Grove; three brothers, Glen Cochran and Danny Cochran both of Iberia, and David Cochran of Brumley; two sisters, Eula Mae Cochran of Iberia and Alice Mitchell of Brumley; four grandchildren, Jill, Adam, Autumn and Austin and a great-grandchild, Harley. He was preceded in death by a son, James Allen Cochran. Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Bro. Brian Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley. He was born in Brumley on August 16, 1941, son of the late William Jasper and Velma Eunice (Moneymaker) Cochran. On December 21, 1963, near Iberia, Dave married Loretta Birdene Humphrey, who survives at the home. He is also survived by his children, Lorna Plemmons and husband Steve of Ulman, Terry Cochran of Brumley, and Lester Cochran and wife Leslie of Crocker; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Danny Cochran and wife Carol of Iberia; two sisters, Eula Mae Cochran of Iberia and Alice Mitchell and husband Warren of Brumley; and many other family and friends. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Justin Len Cochran; six brothers; and three sisters. Visitation will be held from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. with services immediately following at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Brian Duncan will officiate. PARENTS: Miller County Autogram-Sentinel, December 14, 1989 William Jasper "Bill" Cochran, 87, of Iberia died Saturday, Dec. 9, 1989 at his home. He was born April 29, 1902, in Miller County to Soloman and Betty Wall Cochran. On March 8, 1922, he was married in Tuscumbia to Velma Eunice Moneymaker, who died Feb. 7. 1978. Mr. Cochran was a retired farmer and was a lifetime resident of Miller County. Surviving him are five sons, Gleneth Cochran, Billy Cochran and David Cochran, all of Brumley, and Glen Cochran and Danny Cochran both of Iberia; three daughters, Juanita Harrison and Eula Mae Cochran, both of Iberia, and Alice Mitchell of Brumley; a sister, Venice Duncan, of Iberia; 36 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. At census 1930 Glaze, Miller Co; Bill Cochran 27, married at 19 farmer; wife Eunice 24 married at 18 daughter Wanita 8; daughter Glenneth 8; son Glen 5; Paul D 2; Billy J 2 months. Yet on 3 of Nancy's obits/funeral cards Glenneth was a male. Any offers?
