Unknown Publication, February 1981 A rural Eldon woman, Debra F. Franklin, 27, was killed early Wednesday in a two-vehicle accident in Miller County. The accident occurred at 1:50 a.m. on U.S. 54, just west of the Business 54 intersection in Lake Ozark. The state Highway Patrol said a westbound car which the dead woman was riding in struck a parked tractor-trailer that was parked along the highway. According to the patrol, the tractor trailer was parked on the westbound shoulder with two feet of the left rear corner on the highway. The driver of the car, Barbara R. Vansciver, 24, Osage Beach, was taken to Lake Ozark General Hospital with moderate injuries. OBITUARY: Miss Debra Fay Franklin, 27, Osage Beach, died Wednesday in an automobile accident. She was born Jan. 28, 1954, at Jefferson City, the daughter of James L. and Georgette Rehagen Franklin who survive at Eldon. A lifelong resident of central Missouri, Miss Franklin attended the Eldon public schools and was graduated from Eldon High School in 1972. Other survivors include: a son, Eric Franklin of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Marilyn Opie, Eldon, and Mrs. Judy Hitt, Columbia; three brothers, Terry Franklin and James E. Franklin both of Eldon, and Gary Franklin, Columbia; and a maternal grandmother, Mrs. Theresa Meiburger, Meta. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Burial will be at Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
