Obituary: Jefferson City News Tribune, Sunday, August 24, 1997 "Beata Angeline Kliegel, 74, Jefferson City, died Friday (August 22, 1997) at Capital Region Medical Center-Southwest. She was born Jan. 16, 1923, in St. Elizabeth, a daughter of Frank X. and Mary Rehagen Kemna. She was married Oct. 29, 1949, in Jefferson City to Edward Joseph Kliegel, who died Jan. 27, 1989. An accomplished seamstress, she was employed with Singer Sewing County in Jefferson City and designed costumes for numerous local theatrical productions. She taught swimming lessons to children and adults for 20 years from her home. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic church, the St. Ann's Sodality and the church council. She also was active in the Girl Scouts, Helias Band Boosters and Meals on Wheels. Survivors include: three daughters, Mary Kay Burns, Affton; Maria Hursig, Albuquerque, N.M.; and Maureen Olsen, Moorhead, Minn.; one son, Frank Kliegel, Brooklyn, N.Y.; one sister, Alma Hughes, Jefferson City; two brothers, Herman Kemna, Jefferson City and Norbert Kemna, St. Elizabeth; and seven grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic church. The Rev. William Peckman will officiate. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation will be at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Capital Region Medical Center."
