Mrs. Steen was born February 6, 1885 near Brumley, Mo. in Miller County, the daughter of Floyd and Susannah (Williams) Wall. She was united in marriage on November 8, 1905 in Tuscumbia, Mo. by Judge Baker to Frank Steen, who survives of the home. Mrs. Steen lived in Miller County all her life and lived in the Iberia area since January of j1907. She was a member of the Hickory Point Baptist church and was baptized by Rev. Charles Cox. Mrs. Steen was preceded in death by one brother, Oliver Wall, two sisters, Alma George and Emma Thompson; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Surviving other than her husband, Frank, are: two daughters, Mrs. Vergie Smith of Clackamas, Washington and Mrs. Icie Evacko of Iberia, Mo.; 5 sons, Waldo Steen and Holmes Steen both of Eldon, MO.; John Steen of Valley Park, Mo. and Kermit Steen and Paul Steen both of Iberia, Mo.; 24 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Anny Thompson of Kansas City, Mo. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 1973 at the Hickory Point Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Cox officiating. Interment was in the Williams Cemetery under the direction of the Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia, Mo.
