The Iberia Sentinel, March 1936 Mrs. Dow Wall, well known woman of the community north of Iberia, passed away here in Iberia at the home of her mother, Mrs. Jane Groves, after a prolonged illness, high blood pressure being the cause of her death. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Otto Shearrer, pastor of the local Nazarene Church, were held from the north Christian Church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, after which interment was made in the Hickory Point Cemetery under direction of the Adams & Casey funeral service. Eva Ann Groves was born July 12, 1886, and departed this life Sunday, March 1, 1936, at the age of 49 years, 7 months and 18 days. She was married to Dow Wall March 13, 1904 and to this union eight children were born. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Mr. Dow Wall and seven children, namely: Dorsey, Gail, Stanley, Freeda, Hannis, Warren and Bonnie Jean. An infant son died when only 6 days old. Besides the immediate members of the family, she is survived by her aged mother, Mrs. Jane Groves; three brothers-Gordon C. Groves, Robert Groves and Roy Groves and two sisters-Mrs. Blanch Wilson and Mrs. Dosha Scott. She united with the Christian Church 24 years ago and lived a consistent Christian life until her death.
