The Iberia Sentinel, January 1937 Little Bobby Lee Shelton who suffered an attack of typhoid fever last September from which he never did fully recover, parted this life Wednesday, January 27, being at the time of his death 4 years, 3 months and 23 days old. He was the infant son of Birley and Goldie Shelton of Crocker. He leaves to mourn his passing his father and mother; a brother Ferrel Gene; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeannie Shelton and Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Whittle, a number of uncles and aunts and other relatives and friends. One brother preceded him to the great beyond. Everything that loving hands could do was done to save the precious life of little Bobby but of no avail. In the home a vacant chair that cannot be filled, but the sweet memory of this wee still voice shall always be remembered. Funeral services conducted by Rev. John Phillips of Iberia were held from the Pleasant Hill Christian Church Friday afternoon, and interment made in the cemetery at that place under direction of J.L. Hoops & Sons funeral service of Crocker.
