Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, Sept. 1973: "Mrs. Mathilda E. Muehlenkamp, 89, of 1320 E. High Street, died Tuesday (14 Sept 1973) at St. Mary's Health Center after a three-day illness. Mrs. Muehlenkamp was born March 22, 1884 at St. Thomas. She was married to John Muehlenkamp, who preceded her in death. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Survivors include: four daughters - Miss Rose Muehlenkamp, Jefferson City; Mrs. Laurentia Bax, Florissant; and Mrs. Alvina Stephens and Mrs. Henrietta Semar, both of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held Friday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Cronin officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery."
