Daily Capital News, Tuesday 22 August 1967 Mrs. Meredith, of Iberia, dies Mrs. Pearl Meredith, 73, died Sunday afternoon at her home near Iberia. She was born Feb. 24, 1894, near Iberia, the daughter of Lewis and Mary Hagan Winfrey. On July 16, 1911, she married Marshall M. Meredith, who died Sept. 10, 1961. Survivors include: One daughter, Mrs. Beulah Phillips, Ulman; four sons, Geral(Jerald?) Meredith, Redwood City, Calif.; James Noble Meredith, Seattle, Wash., Paul and Eugene Meredith, both of Iberia; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Meredith was a member of the Mt. Union Church of Christ, near Brumley, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with Brother Farris Wall officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Union Cemetery. Mrs. Meredith's body will be at the family home near Iberia.
