The Iberia Sentinel, October 1936 The sad news reached here last Friday of the death of Mrs. Charles Atwell of Ceres, California who passed away at her home there at 3:30 o'clock that morning. She had been afflicted with a stomach ailment for some time and it is thought that was the cause of her death. The body, accompanied by the husband and other members of the family, is being brought back here for burial. If proper connections are made they will arrive here sometime Friday and burial will be made Saturday in the Tyler Cemetery east of Iberia. Mr. and Mrs. Atwell were residents of Miller County, residing in the community of Iberia prior to their moving to Ceres, California last April. Mrs. Atwell is survived by her husband and seven children, namely: Lee Atwell of Iberia, Floyd Atwell of Kansas City, Mrs. Norma Bowman of Hancock, Mo., Miss Zella Atwell and Mrs. Selma Mitzler of St. Louis and Charles and Elva Atwell of Ceres California.
