The Iberia Sentinel, March 1934 Beatrice Marie Perkins, older daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Perkins, died here Monday night at 11 o'clock of diphtheria, following a brief illness, at the age of 9 years, 1 month and 11 days. She leaves to mourn her passing, father and mother and one sister, aged 5 years, besides her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Perkins and Mr. and Mrs. Able Gardner, and other relatives. A beautiful flower taken from our home to make Heaven more sweet and beautiful. An angel here on earth, now an angel in heaven. Private funeral services conducted by Rev. Neddie Sooter were held at the Perkins home Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock and interment made in the town cemetery.
