Hi Susan, I am a Shelton researcher whose ancestors were from Miller Co. Can you give me just a little more info and I will try and help you. There are many many James Sheltons from Miller County. I read the marriage license where they got married in 1897 and both were over 21 years old. Is Jobe a first or last name? Hamon Shelton had a son by the name of James. Hamon's wife was a Williams. So this could be a clue. I have this James as dying in 1903. On the 1900 census when Rebecca is living with John Williams it does not show that she was a widow but married. James could have been away. Where did Rebecca die? Any clues could help us find him. Will be willing to try to help you. -- Wilma Shelton Easley In a message dated 12/10/2009 5:14:36 P.M.
