    2. Eldon Advertiser of 7 Feb, 1952 Mrs. Otto Bowden Dies at Home Here Mrs Otto Bowden, 54, died at her home, 122 N. Grand, Friday evening. She had been suffering from a heart ailment for the past four years and had been confined to her home following a severe attack in August, 1951 Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Christian Church with Rev. Clark Sanner officiating. Burial was made in the Eldon Cemetery under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home Service. Daisy Coday, daughter of Lon and Ann Whitaker Coday, was born April 4, 1897, in Wright County, Missouri. She was married to Otto Bowden of Eldon on Dec.23, 1917, and they have resided here since that time. Mr. Bowden is an engineer on the Rock Island. Mrs. Bowden became a member of the Christian church at the age of 13, and continued her member- ship until her death. She was active i the work of the church as a member of the board for a number of years, a teacher of the Dorcas class of the sunday school, a member of the choir and in the women's organizations in the church. She was also active in the Eldon Rebekah lodge and served the organization as Noble Grand and as recording secretary for several years. Besides her husband, Mrs. Bowden is survived by a son, Robert Bowden; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Betty) Spalding, both of Eldon; four grandchildren, Judy and Linda Bowden, Robin Keifer and David Spalding of Eldon; and a brother, Lowell Coday of Bakersfield, California.
