First his realative in Maries county. That turns out to be his maternal grandfather John Hunter. I have only found him in the 1860 census. Then his arrival.... the Colonel Cutts did exist but did not make the Liverpool-New Orleans in 1853. However I did find the Ferguson family on the passenger list in 1855. Squire was 16 and both his sisters were on board (so proving that Martha was NOT born in the US) They arrived in December (probably leaving Liverpool in October) William Ferguson died at sea on Novemver 20th. These dates are listed on the passenger list in the National Archives (available on Ancestry) Terri Stoikes Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
