DeVere died from heart failure. I talked with his cousin in Iberia tonight and they had been in contact with his widow. She said DeVere had spent some time in a hospital but was released to come home just a day or two ago. Last night he had the heart attack. No one realized just how sick he actually was.......His funeral services will be held at the church where he and his family attended in Lonedell, MO. The church is the Oak Grove Baptist Church with visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday evening. At 7 p.m. there will be a memorial service at the church. He is to be cremated with burial at a later date.
