Jefferson City News Tribune, Sunday, April 8, 2007 Margaret Henrietta Bax, 91, of Jefferson City, died Friday, April 6, 2007, at St. Joseph Home for the Aged. She was born May 25, 1915, in St. Thomas, Mo., the daughter of Henry and Anna Sommer Schulte. She was married November 28, 1945, in St. Thomas, to Adolph Frank Bax, who died on December 18, 1995. A homemaker, Mrs. Bax was employed with St. Elizabeth Public School, and later as a clerk with the Missouri Dept. of Revenue until retiring in 1977. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law, Joseph and Bernice Bax, Eldon, Mo., and Dennis and Ann Bax, Jefferson City; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Marcia and Steve Slaughter, Brazito, Mo., and Judith and Leonard Hoelscher, Osage Bend, Mo.; 12 grandchildren, Melissa Nichols, Michael Bax, Matthew Bax, Cindy Dixon, Paul Bax, Michelle Bax, Meredith Boessen, Andrea Garrett, Natalie Grothoff, Tyler Slaughter, Jennifer Hoelscher, and Steven Hoelscher; 10 great-grandchildren, Thomas Nichols, David Nichols, Jonathan Bax, Joseph Ousley, Grant Dixon, Andrew Boessen, Audrey Boessen, Grant Boessen, William Grothoff, and Samuel Grothoff; and two step-great-grandchildren, Cody Dixon and Benny Dixon. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Edwin Schulte, Louis Schulte, and Herman Schulte; and three sisters, Catherine Loethen, Emma Hirschberg, and Martha Schulte. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, April 9, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Church Building Fund, 216 Broadway, Jefferson City, MO 65101; Community Hospices of America, 2418 Hyde Park Road, Jefferson City, MO 65109; or Masses.
