Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, July 1987 Andy Clifton Workman, 87, of Tuscumbia died Wednesday, July 15, 1987, at his home. He was born March 30, 1900 in Miller County to Calloway and Mary Ellen Williamson Workman. On Dec. 11, 1922 he was married in Miller County to Stella Mae Murray, who died April 1, 1977. In February of 1982 he was married in Tuscumbia to Vina Shultz, who died in 1985. Mr. Workman was a lifelong resident of Miller County. He was retired from the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department and for 52 years he was a lay minister in the Pentecostal movement. Surviving him are a daughter, Irene Hamacher of Tuscumbia; a son, Henry Paul Workman of Montgomery City; a brother, John Workman of Eldon; six sisters, Arizona Matthews of Imboden, Ark., Nora Todd of Nelson, Dora Pope of Kansas City, Mattie Platter of Lake Ozark and Melva Morgan and Sarah Duncan, both of Eldon; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gateway New Testament Church near Eldon with the Rev. Russell Hyatt officiating. Burial was in the Tuscumbia Cemetery with grandchildren as pallbearers.
