Obituary: Jefferson City News Tribune, Friday, April 6, 2007 Clem W. Sanning, age 98, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Jefferson City, Mo. A son of Benjamin and Catherine DeLong Sanning. He was married May 29, 1928, in Mary's Home to Frances Kempker who preceded him in death. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church. He farmed, ran a thrash machine, had one of the first combines, ran a saw mill, built cabinets and raised beef cattle. Survivors include: one daughter, Nordelle Sanning Lueckenhoff and her husband Alfred, of Jefferson City, Mo., one daughter-in-law, Martha Sanning of Jefferson City,Mo., eight grandchildren, Patricia Lyles, Dale Francis Lueckenhoff, Donnie Sanning, Darlene Rice, Diane Schnieders, Darrell Lueckenhoff, Dave Sanning and Danny Lueckenhoff, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Louise Faherty of Eldon, Mo.; one brother, Clarence and his wife Nadine of Lee's Summit, Mo. and one sister-in-law, Anna Marie Sanning of Amarillo, Texas. He was also preceded in death by one son, Norman G. Sanning, Nov. 1, 2005; three brothers, Vincent, John and Ray Sanning, and two sisters, Angeline Bungart and Pauline Looten. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home in Mary's Home, with a Rosary prayed at 5:00 p.m. and a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2007. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2007, at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Mary's Home, with Reverend Clarence Wiederholt officiating. Internment will be in the parish cemetery in Mary's Home.
