Obituary: The Miller County Autogram, Thursday, August 24, 1950 Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Mamie C. Lewis Tuesday, August 15, at Rush Chapel in Jim Henry community, with Rev. John D. Jenkins of Tuscumbia officiating. Mrs. Lewis, nee Hensley, was born in Newport Arkansas, May 7, 1881, and passed away August 13, 1950, at Lutheran Hospital 2646 Potomac, St. Louis, Mo. She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church of Yukon, Mo. before going to St. Louis in 1943. Survivors include her husband Henry Lewis; one son, Jimmie Hawk; three grandchildren, Gene, Russell and Kenneth Hawk, all of St. Louis, Mo. She was laid to rest in Rush Chapel Cemetery with the John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home of St. Louis, Mo. in charge of arrangements.
