Obituary: The Miller County Sentinel, January 8, 1959 Funeral services were held Saturday, January 3 at the Ulman Baptist Church for John Carico, 78, of Ulman who died at his home Wednesday, December 31. The Rev. B.F. Dinwiddie officiated. Interment was in the Gott Cemetery with Hedges of Iberia in charge of arrangements. He was the son of William and Margaret Carico and was born May 30, 1880. On March 10, 1901 he was married to Cora Ann Horton who survives. He was a lifelong resident of Miller County and the Ulman community. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ovid and Robert, both of Ulman; two daughters, Susie Case and Ollie Swim of Kansas City, Kansas; four granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
