    3. Obituary: Jefferson City News Tribune, September 1986 Dewey Payton Brockman, 88, Kansas City, a former Miller County resident, died Saturday at the Baptist Memorial Hospital, Kansas City. He was born April 27; 1898, at Bagnell, a son of John and Eliza Wilcox Brockman. On Nov. 25, 1921, he was married at Indepen-dence to Lillie Davenport, who sur-vives of the home. Mr. Brockman was a school tea-cher in Miller County until 1929 when he moved to Kansas City. Prior to his retirement in 1969, he was employed for 37 years by the Ford Motor Company as a quality control inspector. Other survivors include: two daughters, Lois Wilson, Eldon, and Doris Wren, Albuquerque, NM; one sister, Mary Starling, Leaven-worth, Kan.; three grandchildren and one great-grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Tuscumbia Bap-tist Church with the Rev. Robert Nuckolls officiating. Burial will be at the Tuscumbia City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.
