Funeral Services Held For Charles H. Stickney Funeral Services For Charles H. Stickney, 90, Eldon, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon. Mr. Stickney died Thursday, January 11, 1979, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. He was born August 20, 1888, at Dixon, to Alfred Mitchel and Ellie Kinder Stickney. In 1918, he was married in Miller County to Stella E. Beard, who survives at the home. Mr. Stickney worked for the Eldon Water Department for 37 years, retiring in 1958, He was a member of the Eldon United Methodist Church and IOOF Lodge. In addition to his wife, he leaves five daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Green, Mrs. Argarita Whittle, Mrs. Treva Flaugher and Mrs. Josephine Ahart, all of Eldon, and Lyndell Stickney, Sedalia; a son, Charles Stickney, Eldon; two brothers, Morris Stickney, Oronogo and John W. Stickney, Carbondale; 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. The Rev. George Burgin officiated at the services. Burial was in the Eldon Cemetery at 7:30 p.m. Saturday the Eldon IOOF held a service for Mr. Stickney.
