Obituary: Jefferson City News Tribune, Sunday, January 27, 2002 Nettie L. Jobe, 99, Eldon, died Jan. 26, 2002, at Miller County Care Center, Tuscumbia. She was born March 31, 1902, in Gladstone, a daughter of Robert L. and Martha Porter Uptergrove. She was married May 19, 1920, in Rocky Mount to Earl Curtis Jobe, who died Sept. 16, 1971. She worked as a seamstress from her home and for Glaser Brothers Pants Factory, Eldon. She was a charter member of Ninth Street Christian Church, Eldon. Survivors include: one daughter, Velma L. Cotton, Eldon; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and two step great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ninth Street Christian Church, Eldon. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens near Barnett. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon. Memorials are suggested to Ninth Street Christian Church Building Fund or the Miller County Care Center Residents' Christmas Fund.
