    3. Obituary: Jefferson City Post-Tribune, October 2000 Ignatius Henry "Stub" Holtmeyer, 66, St. Anthony, died Nov. 10, 2000, at St. Mary's Health Center (Jefferson City). He was born July 10, 1934, in St. Anthony, a son of Conrad and Hedwig Bertha Herx Holtmeyer. He was married June 23, 1956, in Meta, to Dolores Anna Veit, who survives at the home. He attended school at St. Anthony and later worked as a farmhand. He worked for Eads Motor Company in Iberia, Curtiss-Manes Construction in Eldon, and for the city of Iberia. He was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church and was a past member and president of the St. Anthony Men's Club and the St. Anthony Polled Hereford Association. Other survivors include: four sons, William Holtmeyer, Jefferson City, Robert Holtmeyer, Belle, and Richard Holtmeyer and David Holtmeyer, both of St. Anthony; one daughter, Mathilda Holtmeyer, Jefferson City; six brothers, Ralph Holtmeyer, Harold Holtmeyer, Daniel Holtmeyer and Bernard Holtmeyer, all of St. Anthony, Raymond Holtmeyer of Clearfield, Pa., and Roman Holtmeyer, Meta; two sisters, Margaret Buechter, St. Ann, and Marcella Bock, Meta; 10 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and one great step grandson. He was preceded in death by three brothers. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. The Rev. John Schutty, Rev. Rob Fields and Rev. Clarence Wiederholt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the St. Anthony Parish Hall, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and a rosary to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia.
