Obituary: Jefferson City Post Tribune, Monday, January 14, 2002 Iris Irene Burks, 89, Iberia, died Jan. 12, at St. Elizabeth Care Center. She was born Dec. 1, 1912, in Iberia, a daughter of Frank and Ethel Waite Livingston. She was married Oct. 21, 1933, in Lebanon, to Sammy Burks, who survives at the home. A homemaker, she worked for Kraml Wood Products near Iberia for 17 years. She was a member of Hickory Point Baptist Church near Iberia. Survivors include: two daughters, Catherine Ponder, Iberia, and Caroline Levell, Springfield; one brother, Ellis Livingston, Duluth, Minn.; one sister, Wilma Hickey, Bolivar; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hickory Point Baptist Church. The Rev. Ken Gray will officiate. Burial will be in Livingston Cemetery near Iberia. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. Memorials are suggested to Hickory Point Baptist Church.
