Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, Tuesday, July 4, 2000 Lela McCrory, 83, of Iberia died Friday, June j30, 2000, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. She was born Dec. 24, 1916, in Bagnell to Wilbur and Annie Brineger Arnel. On April 7, 1936, she was married in Jefferson City to Furrell O. McCrory, who survives in Richland. He was a former resident of Iberia. Mrs. McCrory was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church in Barnett. Also surviving are two sons, Mike McCrory of Merrillville, Ind., and James McCrory of the state of Arizona; two daughters, Barbara Endeman of Springfield and Roberta Marriott of Eldon; a brother, Floyd Arnel of the state of California; four sisters, Ruby Meseberg of the state of Indiana, Ruth Nelson of the state of Arkansas, Mable Haniford of the state of Missouri and Ada Darby of the state of California; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with the Rev. Jeff Higbie officiating. Burial was in Tol Wood Cemetery near Eldon.
