    3. Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, unknown date Mrs. Myrtle Strong, 89, died at 8:45 p.m. Monday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Morgan of Barnett. She was born April 18, 1876 in Cole County to Andrew and Mary Jane (Amos) Porch, and spent her childhood in that county. She attended the school there and later attended Hooper Institute at Clarksburg. She was married to W. H. Strong who preceded her in death. Mrs. Strong, a longtime resident of Morgan County, was a member of the Barnett Christian Church; and was a charter member of Barnett Chapter 303 Order of the Eastern Star and Morgan County Historical Society. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Morgan of Barnett and Mrs. Lillian Zieff of Hollywood, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Routon of Eldon and Mrs. Georgia Roark of Edwardsville, Kan. One grandson, Bill Rehman, of California state; one great-granddaughter, Mrs. Judy Baker of Tacoma, Wash. and one great-great-granddaughter, Barbara Baker, also of Tacoma. The funeral was set for 2 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday) at the church in Barnett with Edsil Dale officiating. Burial at Hopewell under direction of Kays Funeral Home of Eldon.
