Obituary: Jefferson City Post Tribune, Tuesday, February 12, 2002 Vinnie L. Binkley, 101, Jefferson City, died Feb. 11, 2002, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born Oct. 26, 1900, in Eugene, a daughter of W.R. and Idella Sherer Henley. She was married March 16, 1918, in Eugene, to Paul Binkley, who died July 19, 1958. She was a lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area and attended Spring Garden School in Miller County. She worked as a cook for the Missouri Hotel, Jefferson City Public Schools, and the Rickman Coinference Center until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of the Community Christian Church. Survivors include: one son, Walter Binkley, Kansas City; one daughter, Virginia Bushie Holley, Jefferson City; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Spring Garden Cemetery near Eugene. The Rev. David Avery will officiate. Memorials are suggested to Community Christian Church or the Spring Garden Cemetery Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
