Obituary: Jefferson City News Tribune, Sunday, January 6, 2002 Gladys L. Shoemaker, 100, Eldon, died Jan 4. 2002, at Eldon Healthcare, Eldon. She was born Nov. 29, 1901, in Enon, a daughter of Oliver and Samantha Farris Son. She was married Sept. 15, 1920, to Mack D. Shoemaker, who died May 22, 1987. A homemaker, she co-owned and operated a campground in Colorado. She was a member of Clarksburg Baptist Church. Survivors include nieces and nephews. One son, Paul Franklin Shoemaker, died March 28, 1987. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Enloe Cemetery, Russellville. The Rev. Hewitt Strobel will officiate. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Monday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Russellville. Memorials are suggested to Enloe Cemetery.
