    3. Obituary: unknown publication, October 24, 1921 Mrs. John Fogleman buried here Tuesday Mrs. Augusta P. Fogleman passed away at her home northwest of Eldon Monday, October 10, 1921, after having been an invalid for a number of years. Mrs. Fogleman was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hauenstein, who came to this country from Germany before the Civil war. She and her family came to this country from Germany before the Civil War. She was born at Rhodt, Bavaria, August 23, 1850, being seventy-one years at the time of her death. She and her family came to Miller County at an early day, in the year 1869. She was united in marriage to Theron Folsom. To this union four children were born, three dying in infancy and a son, Clarence, died when a young man. Mr. Folsom was an early merchant in Tuscumbia, conducting a store at the corner now occupied by Mrs. Hauenstein's store. He was a candidate for county clerk during the eighties but died very suddenly only a few days before the election from over-work in making the campaign. After his death, Mrs. Folsom continued the mercantile business for about five years until her marriage to John W. Fogleman in 1884. To this second union were born four children, all of whom survive her. They are Mrs. Florence Davidson of Goodland, Kansas, William F. Fogleman of near Bagnell and Mrs. Vivian Caldwell, of near Eldon with whom she and Mr. Fogleman have been making their home. She is also survived by her husband and two brothers and one sister--P. F. Hauenstein, Wm. H. Hauenstein, and Mrs. R. M. Marshall, all of this place. One sister, Mrs. Lena Sone, has been dead a number of years. Mrs. Fogleman united with the Presbyterian Church at this place in 1888, being a charter member of this congregation. She was a good woman, loved and respected by all her neighbors, wherever she lived, and she often expressed her faith in Christ and hope of reaping the reward of the righteous in the words of the song, "It is Well With My Soul." Funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian Church here Tuesday by Rev. Crockett and the remains laid to rest in the Tuscumbia Cemetery beside other members of the family who preceded her. All her living children, brothers and sister were present at her funeral. A large crowd attended the funeral, quite a number coming from a distance.
