Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, March 1955 Paul Otto Roberts, 59 of 831 Colorado Ave., a bus driver for Eldon R-1 District, died at his home at 4:30 p.m. Monday following a heart attack. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 18, at the Eugene Christian Church with the Rev. John Jenkins and the Rev. C.F. Sanner officiating. Interment will be in the Eugene Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Funeral home in Eldon. Mr. Roberts was born April 26, 1896, at Eugene, the son of David and Hannah Miller Roberts, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married to the former Miss Lena E. Williams on April 20, 1921. He was a veteran of World War I during which he won the Purple Heart medal. He lived in this community until 1921 when he moved to Colorado then later to California. He returned to Eldon in 1948. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Brewster, Collinsville, Ill., and Mrs. Virginia Gilbert, Fresno, Calif., four sisters, Mrs. Cora Crane, Kansas City, Mrs. Lizzie Pierce, Eldon, Mrs. Ollie Ekstam, Eugene and Mrs. Suzie Albertson, Etterville, three brothers, H.L. Roberts, Eldon, James C. Roberts, Cole Springs, Colo., and R.F. Roberts, Barnett, two granddaughters and a grandson. Mr. Roberts was a member of the First Christian Church at Vallejo, Calif.
