Obituary: Jefferson City Post-Tribune, Tuesday, January 15, 2002 Ruth M. Short, 95, Eldon, died Jan. 12, 2002, at Miller County Nursing Home. She was born May 22, 1906, in Selkirk, Ontario, Canada, a daughter of John and Almeda Hoover Cooper. She was married in 1930, to Otho Short, who died in 1969. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Street Church of Christ, Eldon. Survivors include; one daughter, Marleene Sharaga, Eldon; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Street Church of Christ. Pastor Lloyd Parr and Pastor Jim McQowin will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.
