Obituary: Jefferson City Post Tribune, Saturday, February 16, 2002 Nettie Mary Wankum, 79, St. Elizabeth, died Feb. 15, 2002, at Rusk Rehabilitation Center, Columbia. She was born Oct. 1, 1922, in St. Elizabeth, a daughter of Frank M. and Catherine Groner Bax. She was married Nov. 19, 1952, in St. Elizabeth to Ben Wankum, who survives at the home. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth, and St. Ann's Sodality. Other survivors include one son, Frank Wankum, St. Elizabeth. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The Rev. Brian Driscoll will officiate. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, St. Elizabeth. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at the church with a rosary at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Lawrence Catholic Church Masses. Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia.
