    3. Her spouse's name was listed in the printed obituary as John Clifford. I am assuming the name should have been John Clifford Farris, but am posting it as it appeared in print. Nancy T. Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, Tuesday, July 4, 2000 Betty Lou Farris, 72, of Jefferson City died Sunday, July 2, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born May 22, 1928, in the Blue Springs community of Miller County to Ralph and Rosa Cooper Blankenship. She was married April 20, 1947, in Olathe, Kan., to the Rev. John Clifford, who survives at the home. Mrs. Farris worked in the various churches her husband pastured, ministering to children and senior adults. She was employed at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Versailles for more than 10 years. Mrs. Farris was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Jefferson City. Also surviving her are two sons, Larry Farris of Russellville and Johnny Farris of Wichita, Kan.; a daughter, Ethelyn Garrison of Twenty Nine Palms, Calif.; three sisters, Treva Platter of Jefferson City, Selma Barker of Eldon and Eula Rose Wickham of Tollhouse, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Russellville Baptist Church with the Rev. Guy Thomas, the Rev. C.D. Butler and the Rev. Thomas Ratcliff officiating. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery west of Russellville, with the Rev. Randy Trumbo officiating. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundatio or the Cornerstone Baptist Church van fund.
