Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, November 1960 Daniel Guy Henley, 78, died at 11 a.m. Sunday at his home, 605 N. Mill St., Eldon, where he lived with a brother and two sisters. Mr. Henley, who had been hospitalized at Humphreys Hospital, Tuscumbia, in late summer after suffering a heart attack, was suddenly stricken Sunday. He was a retired farmer. The Henleys moved to Eldon nine months ago after selling their farm in the Spring Valley Church area. He was born at Henley, Feb. 27, 1882, the son of Jasper and Josephine (Miller) Henley, and spent his childhood and attended school in Cole County. He was a member of the Spring Valley Baptist Church. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Jones of Jefferson City, and Miss Bessie Henley and Miss Elsie Hensley of the home, and one brother, Hugh Henley, of the home. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Spring Garden Church. The Rev. Cellis Crum officiated. Burial was in the Spring Garden Cemetery under the direction of Kays Funeral Home of Eldon.
