Obituary: The New Iberian, October 5, 1978 Mrs. Bertha F. Russell, 84, Iberia, died Tuesday, September 26, at a Fulton hospital. She was born September 19, 1894, at Cuba, the daughter of Jake and Mary Lawson Munch. She was married April 16, 1916, at Iberia, to Joel Russell, who died March 18, 1968. A life-long resident of the Central Missouri area, Mrs. Russell was a member of the Freedom Christian Church. Survivors include: Four sons, Eliga Russell, Fayette, Farris Russell, Manhattan, Kansas, Lloyd Russell and Barney Russell, both of Iberia; one sister, Mrs. Grace Morrow, New Bloomfield; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Stevinson Funeral Home, Iberia, with the Rev. Earl Brown officiating. Burial was in the Freedom Cemetery. Pallbearers were Grandsons, Bill, Bob, Jim, Tom and John Russell and grandson-in-law, Steve Woolery.
