Obituary: The New Iberian, Wednesday, October 13, 1982 Walter W. Kliethermes, 69, St. Elizabeth, died Wednesday evening, October 6, 1982 at Charles E. Still Hospital (Jefferson City). Mr. Kliethermes was born July 20, 1913 at St. Elizabeth, the son of Mathias and Genevieve Jaegers Kliethermes. On November 7, 1929, he was married at St. Elizabeth to Marie Evers, who survives at the home. He was a retired truck driver and farmer. He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church at St. Elizabeth and the St. Joseph Sodality of the church. Other survivors include: two sons, Robert Kliethermes and Leroy Kliethermes, both of St. Elizabeth; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Kemna, St. Elizabeth; five brothers, Herbert Kliethermes, Albert Kliethermes, and Leo Kliethermes, all of St. Elizabeth, Ray Kliethermes, St. Anthony, and Norbert Kliethermes, Eugene; one sister, Mrs. Loraine Luebbert, St. Elizabeth; and seven grandchildren. A rosary was recited at 7:30 Friday, October 8 at the Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home, St. Elizabeth. Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 9 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerard Poelker officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
